Miter Saw Station
The old miter station was too tall and lacked a stop block or proper dust collection. To resolve this, Luigi built an upgraded setup featuring a 16-foot support wing for easily breaking down full-size lumber, a precision stop-block system, and integrated under-saw lumber storage. To ensure a clean and safe workspace, the saw was also outfitted with a custom dust collection insert and a HEPA-rated dust extractor.

Tool Cubby
Tool Cubby
The original power tool storage consisted of three disorganized shelves with only a few custom inserts. To improve workflow, Luigi designed and assembled a centralized tool cubby in a highly accessible area of the shop. The new unit gives every tool a dedicated home and conveniently integrates battery chargers and battery storage directly alongside the corresponding cordless tools. Additionally, the bottom section features open space so summer stock employees can store their personal tools right underneath Bay Street Theater's equipment.

Hand Tool and Screw Organization
The old hand tool pegboard was hard-mounted in an impractical spot. To fix this, Luigi mounted the pegboard on a movable platform so the hand tools could be easily wheeled to workstations or stored by the power tools. Similarly, the old fastener storage was inefficient, relying on wire shelves and kitchen cabinets that kept hardware out of reach from the ground. After moving the miter station, the freed-up wall space was used to completely rearrange the storage, bringing all tools and fasteners together into one accessible area.
